La Scala's Philharmonic orchestra will make its debut in China during a seven-concert, six-city Asian tour in September.
The Philharmonic will perform in Shanghai on September 12th and in Beijing on September 13th.
The tour of Japan, South Korea and China will run from September 4th to September 13th. Korean conductor Chung Myung-whun has prepared four programs, including works by Mahler, Rachmaninov, Puccini and Verdi.
It will be the Philharmonic's seventh tour in Tokyo and third in South Korea.
